Shahid Beheshti University

Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) established in 1959 at the North of Tehran (the ex- National University of Iran).
At the present time, SBU has about 21,000 students, among whom hundreds are international students. SBU has 23 faculties, in the fields such as; Human Sciences, Sport Sciences, Law, Physics, Chemistry, Petroleum Sciences, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences & Biotechnology, Management, Accounting, Architecture, Urban Planning, and Computer Science. Also Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, Civil Engineering.
Ten research institutes such as; Laser and Plasma, Medicinal Plants and Drugs, Environmental Sciences, Cyberspace, Cognitive Sciences and Brain are also actively operating at Shahid Beheshti University.
Today, there are 69 programs at Bachelor's, 208 at Master's and 136 at Ph.D. levels.
