About the University

"Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) is a state university which was established on September 23, 1963 based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 195 in 1963. Unsoed has the uniqueness of being a state university that focuses on eveloping sustainable rural resources and local wisdom, a contemporary issue that has been designated as part of the national development agenda, namely strengthening villages and regions to build Indonesia within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Currently, Unsoed has 12 faculties and 1 postgraduate program that provides 5 doctoral programs, 18 multi- and mono-disciplinary master's programs, 5 professional programs, 39 undergraduate programs (including 6 international classes), and 9 diploma programs. Supported by professional and characterized teachers as well as adequate educational facilities, Unsoed is committed to producing characterized, qualified, and competitive graduates so that they become a guarantee for a better future. Unsoed itself is located in a rural area that is comfortable to live in as a place for further study."
