About the University

Ural Federal University (UrFU) is one of Russia’s largest and most prestigious universities, combining strong theoretical education with innovative teaching to meet modern global demands. Located in the heart of Eurasia, UrFU promotes sustainable research and academic development. The university hosts over 50,000 students from 100+ countries and employs more than 4,400 faculty members, including leading international experts. UrFU offers around 400 degree programs across diverse fields—science, engineering, IT, social sciences, economics, arts, and humanities—in both Russian and English. Research is conducted in 164 laboratories and 72 research excellence centers. Actively engaged in international collaboration, UrFU partners with about 400 institutions worldwide and participates in major initiatives such as BRICS and SCO Network Universities.
