Call for Applications: China International CollegeStudents’ Innovation Competition (CICSIC) 2026 –Brazil Regional Competition

The BRICS Network University (BRICS-NU) is pleased to share the extended call for
applications
for the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition
(CICSIC) 2026 – Brazil Regional Competition
, one of the world’s largest international
competitions dedicated to student innovation and entrepreneurship.

Organized by the Zhengzhou Advanced Research Institute of Harbin Institute of
Technology
, under the coordination of the Ministry of Education of the People’s
Republic of China
, the competition aims to strengthen international cooperation in
innovation by connecting university talent from around the world.

For the first time, the Brazil Regional Competition will bring together participants from
Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. The regional final will take place on 8 August 2026 at the
São Paulo State University (UNESP) Rectorate, in São Paulo, Brazil. Outstanding projects
may be nominated to compete in the global final of CICSIC 2026 in China.

The competition welcomes innovative projects addressing real-world challenges in areas
including:

● Manufacturing and industry;
● Agriculture and environmental sustainability;
● Health and well-being;
● Energy and sustainability;
● Digital technologies applied to education, transportation, finance, culture, and other
sectors.

Applications are open until 20 July 2026 to:

● Undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled at higher education
institutions in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile;
● Graduates who completed their degrees within the last five years, in accordance with
the competition rules;

The online evaluation will take place in July 2026, followed by the Regional Final on 8
August 2026.

A total of 50 finalist teams will be invited to participate in the regional final in São Paulo.
