Call for Applications: 40th Khwarizmi InternationalAward (KIA)

The BRICS Network University (BRICS-NU) is pleased to share the call for applications for
the 40th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA), organized by the Iranian Research
Organization for Science and Technology (IROST).

Established in 1987, the Khwarizmi International Award recognizes outstanding
achievements by researchers, innovators, and inventors whose work has made significant
contributions to science, technology, and innovation. The award is supported by several
international organizations, including WAITRO, WIPO, UNESCO, APCTT, IORA,
COMSATS, and COMSTECH.

The 40th edition of the KIA will be held in February 2027 in the Islamic Republic of Iran,
bringing together distinguished scientists, government representatives, and international
guests to honor this year’s laureates.

Researchers, innovators, and inventors from BRICS-NU member institutions are encouraged
to submit their applications.
