American University of Sharjah (AUS)

Located in University City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, the American University of Sharjah (AUS) was founded in 1997. The institution follows an American-model liberal arts and professional education structure, offering 33 majors and 48 minors at the undergraduate level, 21 master's degree programs and eight PhD programs. AUS has over 6,500 students (undergraduate and graduate) and more than 350 full-time international faculty. Major research and priority areas include Sustainability & Environmental Engineering, Digital Technologies & Innovation, Health-Sciences Interfaces, and Interdisciplinary Design & Architecture—with the university recently being recognized globally for its leadership in sustainability curriculum and research.
