About the University
Glazov State Engineering and Pedagogical University named after V.G. Korolenko (GIPU) is a modern educational and cultural center that promotes training of highly qualified teaching and engineering personnel. The university comprises four faculties in the city of Glazov and the university branch in Izhevsk. The total number of higher-education teaching personnel is 119, and the total number of students is over 3,000.
The university is actively developing: it hosts a center of the Russian Academy of Education and a federal innovation platform for physics didactics. With the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, it conducts research on the most relevant pedagogical topics, including internationally.
Today, GIPU successfully manages several projects to promote the Russian language and Russian education internationally.
GIPU has a modern student campus with four academic buildings and four dormitories within walking distance. The university's educational infrastructure has undergone a large-scale modernization; now three modern technology parks are functioning and each classroom is equipped with modern technology and has its own unique design.
