About the University

Helwan University is one of the largest and oldest public universities in Egypt established in 1975 with some schools dating back to the 19th century. The main campus covers over 350 acres of land and hosts 22 faculties and 2 higher institutes whereas the other 12 faculties have satellite campuses scattered all over Cairo. We offer more than 1250 academic programs with diversified subject fields of specialization serving more than 230000 undergraduate and 16500 postgraduate students.
We are assigned with the implementation of the university’s internationalization strategy, HU is committed to establishing partnerships on a global scale. We believe that the development of teaching, research, and exchange partnerships will enable the university to deliver exchange opportunities and world-class education for Social sciences, Engraining, Arts, and Medical Fields.
