Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi

The ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), located in New Delhi, is India’s premier national institute for agricultural research, education, and extension. Renowned as the “Pusa Institute,” it played a pioneering role in ushering the Green Revolution in India, transforming India into a food-secure nation. IARI is home to around 3,000 students and 2,000 staff, with two sub-campuses, student academic partners, and regional research stations across the country. Its alumni include four World Food Prize laureates, reflecting its global impact on agricultural science.
