Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University)

MGIMO was founded on 14th of October 1944 in Moscow, Russia, by a special decree of the Soviet Government on the basis of the recently established School of International Relations of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Despite its proximity to political elites, MGIMO always maintained the spirit of intellectual freedom encouraging creative thinking in its students. Now MGIMO comprises four campuses (Moscow, Odintsovo, Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Astana (Kazakhstan)). It has 10000 students and more than 1000 academic staff. MGIMO offers educational programs in more than 20 fields of study, including international relations and regional studies, politics, governance, world economy, finance, business informatics, law, journalism, PR, foreign trade and management, linguistics, environmental studies and tourism, sociology and psychology.
