National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER)

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneshwar, is a unique institution in India, committed to generation, dissemination and preservation of knowledge in basic sciences, integrated with the goal to create a zeal and fervor in minds of the young buds of the nation towards scientific temper. The Institute is affiliated with Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai, a deemed research university that oversees academic programs at Institutions that are part of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) structure. It is located in Jatani Odisha in India. It has over 100 faculty members, ~200 staff and ~2000 students pursuing integrated MSc, iPhD and PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Also there are new schools of Computer and Earth & Planetary Sciences. Students also learn various aspects humanities and technical English by the faculty members of School of Humanities and Social Sciences. It also has an incubation center to foster translational research.
