NIT Durgapur

NIT Durgapur is a fully funded, premier Technological Institution of the Government of India, administered by an autonomous Board of Governors with a faculty strength of 280. The Institute is a University which awards B.Tech., M.C.A., M.Sc., M.B.A., M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees to students after their successful completion of the specified courses. The Institute imparts education in the disciplines of Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Biotechnology), Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Life Sciences), and Humanities & Social Science and Management Studies. The Institute is connected to the other part of India Howrah-Delhi main railway route, National Highway No. 2, and Durgapur-Andal Airport. At present, about 5000 students, along with more than 60 foreign students, reside on the campus.
