Located in the city of Ismailia, Egypt, Suez Canal University (SCU) is a major public institution with a significant academic footprint. Its main structure consists of two campuses within Ismailia. The university serves a large community of approximately 60,000 students and 3,500 staff members. Reflecting its strategic location, SCU's research is notably strong in areas directly relevant to its region, with key strengths in Canal and Maritime Studies, Desert Agriculture and Arid Land Management, Environmental Sciences, Water Resources Management, and Public Health and Tropical Medicine. It also maintains research centers in South Sinai, including in Sharm El-Sheikh and St. Catherine.
