Tarbiat Modares University

"Tarbiat Modares University (TMU), founded in 1982, is the only institution in Iran that focuses exclusively on graduate education. According to the Leiden Ranking 2024, TMU is ranked 3rd in the country and 345th globally. Additionally, 18 of its faculty members have been recognized as among the top 1% of influential scholars.
The university offers 196 Master of Science (M.Sc.) and 149 Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs across 17 faculties and 21 research institutes. With campuses in Tehran and regional locations in Noor, Karaj, and Khuzestan, TMU provides a thorough graduate education.
Currently, TMU is home to 10,136 students, including 881 international students, supported by a dedicated team of 750 full-time faculty members. The university fosters a dynamic academic environment that encourages innovation and collaboration. TMU aims to strengthen partnerships with BRICS Network University members to cultivate experts and contribute to the BRICS community through educational and research collaborations.
